Team Kärpät Naiset
Success in the Finnish National League
Women's ice hockey started in Kärpät in the beginning of 1990's and Kärpät played their first season in the Finnish Women's National League in 1994–1995.
Women's team has been the most succesful team for Oulun Kärpät 46 ry (The junior organisation) for the last 14 years winning 10 national medals (7 silver medals, 3 bronze medals).
Kärpät in the National Team Finland
Kärpät players are a familiar sight also in the Finnish Women's National Team. Approximately 4-6 players have been members of the National Team in the World Championships and at the Olympics. Several younger players have also joined the U-20 or U-18 National Teams.
